Alienware Skin Pack is an alternative skin for your Windows system. This skin is suitable especially if you get bored easily with the default look of your Windows, or if you're into Science Fiction and space ships. It was designed for Windows 7 and Windows 7 SP1 but it should also work on other Windows versions, like XP Professional.
The skin is easy to install, but be aware that other skins should be previously installed. The skin offers a futuristic look and deploys a toolbar that can be positioned either at the bottom of the screen or at its top. On the left, the toolbar includes buttons for browsing the web, for quick access to Google and for opening My Computer. The center area of the toolbar is meant to give you the impression that you're in a spaceship checking your engine status and your speed. However what it actually shows under this form is your computer's RAM, its used memory, the CPU status, a clock and a button offering quick access to weather information on the Internet. The right side is Alienware related, with buttons linked to the online store and online support.
All in all, it is a great tool for those interested in quick access to certain Internet websites without opening a browser first, or for those interested in changing the appearance of their desktop.
